Checkout A Brewery Full of Christmas Lights

See more than a million twinkling lights at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis and best of all it is free.

For the first time, David and I decided to see the Brewery Lights from the inside. We used to live with-in walking distance when we lived in St Louis in Benton Park, we would walk around it, but not inside it. I think we used to think it cost a fee.

Free Samples

When you head in look for the free samples of Anheuser-Busch adult beverages with many different choices. The free beverage station has two sides so take note of that so you’re not waiting in a long line on one side.

A Place to Warm Up

Next, we headed indoors where there is a shop, refreshments, and decorated with Christmas trees and garlands. Most importantly we located nice large restrooms for the kids.

S’more Station

Outdoors we came across a s’more station. Andrew and I bought a s’more package that included a marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate with a stick to cook them on a fire pit. This was a lot of fun for both of us.

Walkthrough the Lights

Then we walked through the lit-up trees and towers of the brewery. Along this walk, find there are even more food and drink options. It was cool to see an ice carving of the recently won Blues Stanley Cup. From there we came across woodcarvers with chainsaws blasting away making figures. Andrew especially enjoyed watching this.

Nearby, a kid’s area included the playing of family-friendly movies with chairs to stop and watch.

Ice Skating

Andrew was enticed by the ice skaters and we watched a young child, just a little older than Andrew dance circles around the older kids. He was quite good. It was entertaining for a bit.

The cost to skate is free. For skate rental, there is a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for kids. All proceeds go to the Blues Alumni Association

A Barrel of Fun

From there we walked back checking out more lights as we went.  We headed out back through the inside of the place. Andrew wanted to sit inside a little barrel delivery truck for a photo op before going back to the car.

My Take

I think this was fun to do if you have out-of-town guests and you want to show them Christmas lights St. Louis style. I’m not sure if I would do it every year, but it is was worth doing especially when we found out that it was free with samples!
