At the Dad 2.0 Summit in Washington D.C., dads shared their lives including funny instances with their kids and how quickly they seem to grow up. I left St. Louis on Thursday, March 28, to gain some insight on daddy blogging and make connections with other dads across the US and even met some Canadian dads. The best part of Dad 2.0 was the shared…

Cruising With Kids
On our Caribbean cruise, we were able to take advantage of using the kid’s club since Andrew was way beyond needing diapers. Children have to be toilet trained for Holland America to be at the club. This allowed Andrew some time to do activities with other kids and we took some time for ourselves, which we don’t do very often. The program on Holland America…
Exploring Aruba
Aruba, land of crystal white beaches, Flintstone cartoon sized rocks to climb and a ruby red streetcar to see the town, was our last port of call. The cruise stopped on the edge of the main city of Oranjestad.
Finding Old World Charm in Curacao
Willemstad is a Dutch city transported to the Caribbean on the island of Curacao. It has a rainbow color palette of buildings along its bay and lots of history to explore. The cruise ship was docked here from the morning until the evening so we had plenty of time to check out the island. Checking Out the Shops We headed off the cruise ship onto…
Diving Into Bonaire
A land of pink flamingos, mountains of bright white salt and aquarium clear water, was Bonaire to us.
Taking the Kid to the Dentist
Andrew was excited and curious about his dentist appointment that was required for kindergarten in the fall.
Touring Grand Turk
Grand Turk is known for diving with a 7,000-foot drop-off within yards of the shoreline and snorkeling among the coral. For us, we will explore this tiny island on a tram stopping in Cockburn Town and feeding the wild donkeys.
Seeing Stingrays at Half Moon Cay
Half Moon Cay, Holland America’s private oasis, was our first port. It is filled with a variety of island activities including stingray encounters, glass-bottom boat viewing, snorkeling or just hanging out on the beach and swimming in the pristine Caribbean Sea. The best part today we hope will be viewing the stingrays! We had gone here previously on another Holland America Cruise and participated in…
Under the Sea at the New St. Louis Aquarium
Sealife is on full display with over 13,000 aquatic animals including 60 sharks and stingrays at the new St. Louis Aquarium. It is a 120,000 square foot facility in the St. Louis’ Union Station, where once the mall was located. The main attraction is a 250,000-gallon shark tank that includes oceanic aquatic life. The Experience First, you wait in your timed line to go into…
